Welcome to our world
Information and Communication Technology
In a world full of ICT, we are hardly surprised about the things a simple cell phone can do. We use it to call people and pay bills, to send messages and access the Internet. Meanwhile, we go shopping and book our vacation online. And where would we be without our computers?
Things and services that we were unaware of some ten years ago have by now become indispensable. The same is true for businesses and government organizations that fully depend on the inexhaustible possibilities offered by ICT. They use the technology to streamline their processes, to manage their data traffic and to optimize their customer contacts.

But the question remains …
… how businesses and other organizations can use their innovative ICT applications to create additional value – for themselves as well as their customers. This is also the main question that occupies the staff and students of the ICT section every day. What are the possibilities of innovative ICT? How can we understand the success or failure of innovations?
Welcome to the world of ICT research and education.
