Curriculum Vitae

Ben Ale (1947) is professor in Safety Science and Disastger Abatement at Delft Technical University. After an education as chemical engineer and a PhD in Physics and Mathematics, he worked in the field of risk assessment and risk management from 1976 onwards in industry, civil service and in national research institutes. He headed the RIVM Centre for External Safety and the NIBRA research department. He laid the foundations for hte Netherlandes third party risk policy.
